I am bringing you into a season of rest and peace. You will drink deeply of My peace, even in midst of troubling circumstances. You will no longer be like a wave tossed to and from. Instead, you’ll be unmoved by the waves, because focusing on Me allows you to experience My peace in midst of the storm. What used to buffet you will do so no more because your roots will go deep down in Me. You are learning what it is to abide in me. I cover you with the shadow of My wings. You will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in Him will I trust!” Truly I am a shield about you. You are safe in My loving arms. Fear not, I am with you!
I want you to start living in today, relying on My grace and strength alone. Stop worrying about the future; this causes you much stress and anxiety, which drains you of your energy. You will find that your stress will be greatly reduced as you trust in Me. Rely on Me today and leave the future in My hands, trusting Me with that as well. “For I know the plans I have for you” (Jeremiah 29:11). Rest now. Trust in Me, your loving Father.
Find Me in this desert season. The restlessness that you feel is not only pruning, but it’s also an invitation to come closer to Me. You can have as much of Me as your heart desires. I long to give lavishly to My child; I am not withholding myself from you. Everything aside from Me and My presence will leave you empty and dry. Do not let your joy be dependent on things being ‘fixed’ or based on circumstances. You will have perfection in Heaven, but even here among imperfection of this fallen world you can experience My perfect peace. This will happen if you choose to remain in Me and abide in Me. Do not despise your weakness or the restlessness you feel; I am drawing you near, My child, to experience more of My presence. Drink of Me, the living water, and you will thirst no more! The world and the things of it can not eternally satisfy you; they will leave you dry. Only I can truly satisfy you. Come to Me; lean into Me. I love you, and I am drawing you near.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
