Freedom In Surrender

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him … | Psalm 37:7

As I sat quietly in the Lord’s Presence, I felt like He was highlighting the word surrender to my spirit.

God alone is our All Sufficient One, and as we gaze upon Him and fully surrender the things that have weighed on our hearts and minds, I believe we will come into a place of new found freedom that we have not yet experienced before. There is freedom in surrender. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15).

I hear the Lord saying, “My child, release and fully surrender to Me all of your burdens; they are not yours to carry. I am working everything out for your good. Trust Me in the mess and the heartache, and hand over your disappointments. I will even restore the things you had once thought were beyond repair. Yes, I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm—my great army that I sent among you (Joel 2:25). Have child-like faith and trust in your good, good Father. He who has been faithful in the past will continue to be faithful to you.”

I feel that there are those who have been struggling with physical aliments in their bodies because of overbearing stress. As you give the burdens that you have been carrying to the Lord, you will experience healing and order in your body. Let the joy of the Lord strengthen you and be your portion. God is restoring laughter, and out of your belly shall flow living waters (John 7:38). A merry heart is a good medicine.

As we enter into the Christmas season, I believe that the Lord is reminding us that He is truly the greatest gift of all. God longs to lavish good gifts on His children. As we live in a place of surrender, making the Lord our first priority and our hearts’ highest desire, He will begin to bestow gifts of healing and joy in this season. Delight yourself in the King of kings, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Restoring the Broken Pieces

Press into Me, O My people, despite the pain and hard circumstances. Continue to give Me the sacrifice of your praise. Who but I can bring beauty from your ashes? As you exalt Me above the circumstances and focus on Me and My goodness, the weights and burdens will fall off of you. I am good, and all of My ways with you are good. I see you in the struggle, and even as My Word says, “I am near to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18). Weeping may endure for a night, but My joy comes in the morning!  Bring to Me all of your broken pieces, even the brokenness of your heart, and watch how I restore you. O taste and see that I am good!

A Divine Upgrade: Realignment, New Assignments, and Kingdom Advancement!

He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy; he gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for … | Psalm 105:43-44

I sense that the Lord is getting ready to promote many who walked through the fire, yet have kept their hearts pure before Him. These ones have stewarded well what God has given them. They have stayed the course, even when it felt as though war had broken out against them. As it is written in the Psalms, “Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear” (Psalm 27:3).

Some have been thrown into the pit, rejected by those you thought had loved you. However, you will soon be able to say “what you meant for my harm, God has used for good” (Genesis 50:20).

Faithful ones: the Lord will reward the posture of your heart.

Nothing you have been through has been done in vain. “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him” (2 Chronicles 16:9). You have been in a season of intense preparation, but the Lord is about ready to bring you out of hiding. Many will be in awe of the amazing work and transformation that He will soon complete in you! The Lord is strengthening and establishing you, for His favor is upon you. Just as Joseph prospered in Egypt, the Lord has been with you from the very beginning, developing your character and preparing you for the great destiny He has planned for your life.

Many have sensed the shifting and shaking of major transition. Like a chess board, the pieces are all coming into place. God has been realigning you for new assignments and Kingdom advancements that He will soon bring about in your life. You will soon be promoted from the pit to the palace! What has taken some years to accomplish and toil for will seem like only moments to you because of God’s favor and kindness over your life. “It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory;
it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them” (Psalm 44:3).

Be encouraged, even in the shaking. The King is working His purposes in your life! Get ready for a divine upgrade and Kingdom advancement. The Lord is going to reward the faithfulness of His people!

The Floodgates Are Opening!

When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. | Psalm 126:1-3

I heard the Lord say, “Do not weep and mourn over all that you have been through and what you thought you had lost. Instead, rejoice in the victory of all that I have brought you through! You are not merely surviving; you are thriving! Truly My recompense and reward is at hand. You will understand Psalm 23:5 like never before: I prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies. I will anoint your head with oil; your cup overflows. I tell you, O My people, your best days are now! You will be amazed at what I will do in and through you.

“Great and mighty things are coming swiftly, My beloved. Get ready for the floodgates to fling open; a double portion of blessing and favor is on the way. The season of reaping is at hand!”

“The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills …” (Amos 9:13).

Spiritual Eyes, Look Through New Lenses!

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people. | Ephesians 1:18

I sense that the Lord is restoring hope in this season, especially in the area of troubled relationships. Many have experienced an extended season of hope deferred and have been tempted to give up. The Lord is blowing on the embers of your heart and saying, “Let hope arise!” Because of ongoing hurts and difficult circumstances, the lenses by which we have viewed people, life, and events, have become tainted. I believe the Lord, in His kindness, is giving us new lenses to see clearly in this season.

Your eyes are blessed to see! Where the enemy has attempted to bring confusion, disunity, and lack of clarity, even in families and relationships, the Lord is anointing your eyes to see with precision, spiritual insight, and wisdom. He is allowing4dfc5c05fb3b8fefebf1eebd4b5140b6 you to see beyond the way things would appear in the natural realm.

As we receive this gift and divine upgrade to our spiritual eyesight, we will begin to view people with new love, compassion, mercy, and grace. We will then realize who our real enemy is: Satan, not people! “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12).

Where the enemy has sought to bring division, offence, and brokenness to our relationships, the Lord is bringing healing, restoration, and purification. As we look with new lenses, we will experience a greater love and compassion than we’ve previously known.

I believe the Lord is uncovering generational blessings in our blood line that the enemy has attempted to keep buried and hidden. God is turning the hearts of His children back to their fathers and mothers, just as it is written in Malachi 4:6.

The Lord’s desire is to encourage us and to tell us, “Do not be afraid to hope once again and to expect My very best!” For He says, “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten — the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm — my great army that I sent among you” (Joel 2:25).

Childlike Faith

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.” | Matthew 18: 1-5

Trust me with childlike faith and reckless abandonment. In everything and in all things, let your prayers and petitions be made known. Then the peace of God that passes understanding will guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:6-7).

My peace is your portion. Choose it this day, regardless of your circumstances. As you posture your heart to trust Me and refuse to worry, it frees Me to work on your behalf. As you do this you are partnering with Me, my report, and my promises.

Look not to what you see in the natural, neither give any room for fear or discouragement. Instead, let faith and hope arise! If you could see in the spiritual realm, you would see that I have set angels in place to minister and work on your behalf. “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them” (Psalm 34:7).

Keep pressing into My heart and continue to lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). For who but I can bring beauty out of your ashes and give you joy for mourning? Let hope arise and look to Me! I will not disappoint you, nor will I ever leave or forsake you. I am a good Father who desires good things for you, My child. I know the plans and thoughts I have for you, and they are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

The Restoration and Rebuilding of America

“Although you have been forsaken and hated, with no one traveling through, I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all generations … Instead of bronze I will bring you gold, and silver in place of iron. Instead of wood I will bring you bronze, and iron in place of stones. I will make peace your governor and well-being your ruler. No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.” | Isaiah 60:15, 17-19

America is in a massive rebuilding process. Old structures and systems are toppling, as God is establishing the new. Things can quickly get messy when old structures are being torn down; debris is scattered and what used to be standing is no more. Likewise, I believe the Bride of Christ is also in a season of rebuilding. As we deal with the issues that rise to the surface and allow the Lord to purify our hearts, we will become prepared and ready for the change that God is desiring to bring. Things will look worse in the beginning before they can get better, but the tearing down of the old is vital so that the new foundation can be established.

As it has been said, the Lord has chosen Donald Trump to be His wrecking ball. God is going to use this next president to bulldoze a system that will no longer be efficient in this season. The Lord is raising up Trump in this specific hour; He has placed within this man a warrior’s spirit that will refuse to fear and be intimidated by politics or human agenda. I hear God saying, “I have given Donald Trump the ability to set his face like flint (Isaiah 50:7) and not be afraid of the mess or stirring up the tradition of man.

“With any tear down, at first, there is debris everywhere. However, after hard work, a new structure is built where the rubble once was. My hand is on Donald Trump and on this country, and I have raised up a leader for such a time as this. I have given him a strong backbone and have placed a fearless spirit within him. Trust what I am doing through this man, and continue to keep your hearts in a posture of prayer and intercession.

“There will be a religious spirit that will attempt to rise up. It is very important to have eyes to see and ears to hear what I am doing in this season. My plans and purposes shall surely come about. Trust the process and do not fear, even among the greatest shaking. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:9).

“I am laying down a new foundation. There will be much resistance, as many will be opposed to the change. Do not fear what feels like the shaking of the church, government, and those in authority. Once more, I am shaking everything in this world that can be shaken (Hebrews 12:26-27). However, know that I am in control; the end result will be good. For I know the plans I have for you, and this nation. They are plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

“This is a strategic time in America, and I am calling you to let your roots go down deeper into Me. Stay close to Me during this hour. Press into Me like never before, people of God! If you look only at what’s happening in the natural, you will be shaken. Keep your eyes locked on Me. Trusting Me with all of your heart, and leaning not on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge My Name, and you will see goodness manifest, even in the mess.”

We have had a great victory in this country. Yet even in the victory and celebration, do not be lulled back to sleep. There is still much work to be done. The enemy is not happy that godly principles are being defended. While we are not to fear, we are to be wise and in tune with what is going on in the spirit realm. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that you may stand strong. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:35).

I sense that the Lord’s heart is urging us to walk in love and unity during this time of great transition, even when many feel vulnerable and raw. Above all, guard your own heart, for it is the wellspring of life (Proverbs 4:23).

God is wanting to encourage us during this time of great change, shaking, and rebuilding. As we abide in Him, we have nothing to fear! The Lord is in the process of rebuilding. We will see and know restoration as we embrace the change and align ourselves with what He is doing in this season. Our greatest hour is upon us! What an exciting time it is to be alive, for the best is yet to come.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn” (Isaiah 60:1-3).

Fear Not! The Prayer Bowls are Tipping!

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. “All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. | Isaiah 41:10-13

I sense the enemy has attempted to entangle many in fear and get them to lose hope, regarding this election. Guard your heart with all diligence and refuse to fear! Agree with the report of The Lord and keep your heart in a posture of worship and prayer! Speak life! More are with you than against you, and the battle is The Lord’s (2 Kings 6:16).

Even in the middle of gross darkness, God’s light and truth are breaking forth. “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you” (Isaiah 60:1). The Lord is very attentive to the cries of His people, and the prayer bowls are tipping (Revelations 5:8).

Your prayers are making a difference and His ear is bent towards them. He is arising on the scene as a mighty warrior. Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle (Psalms 24:7-8). God’s light will expose the darkness and the darkness will not overcome (John 1:5).

Intercessors – keep praying!
Watchman on the wall – hold your stance!

Let your prayers and petitions be made known to Him (Philippians 4:6). Don’t lose hope; stay engaged. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16).

Breaking Free

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” | 2 Corinthians 5:17

In the midst of what has felt like a huge spiritual battle, I heard the words “breaking free.” As I inquired of the Lord as to what was happening, I was reminded of the difficult process that the caterpillar undergoes before emerging from the cocoon as a breathtaking butterfly.

The struggle is always the most intense for the caterpillar as it is about to break free from all that enclosed around him. I sense that there are others out there who have been in what feels like a fight for their lives. Even in what feels like an enormous struggle, know that you are about to break free from old mindsets, lies of the enemy, and fear. Your struggle has not been in vain; you have been in the process. The Father has been doing a deep, hard work on your inner man, but through it all, you are being transformed into a beautiful butterfly: a new creation.  It can be a painful process to shed old skin, so to speak. However, the beauty – and even the struggle – will be worth it all as you emerge from the dark place of the cocoon as a sight to behold.

I see a host of beautiful butterflies emerging from what seems to be out of nowhere. Many will look and marvel, wondering where they came from. I am reminded of David, who was just a lowly shepherd boy who took care of his father’s sheep (1 Samuel 16). Even in his ‘hiddenness,’ God was doing a great work in David, as He prepared the boy’s heart for something greater.

I sense that the Father has been preparing many who have been overlooked by man, yet remained faithful to the will of the Lord. These people have been tending the sheep in the secret place, but many will be called to the frontlines and soon be given a position of favor and honor. Be encouraged; you are not overlooked by your heavenly Father. He has been preparing you for greatness, and He will certainly reward your faithfulness of heart.
