Pressing Forward and Not Turning Back

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. | Philippians 3:13-14

The Lord is healing hearts and bringing a new found freedom in this hour. I truly believe that the Lord is encouraging us to let go of our past disappointments and release the things that have been keeping us bound. Our good, good Father is doing a new thing in our hearts and lives (Isaiah 43:19). Let go, and allow Him to complete the work that He desires to finish in you.

Often, when we continually replay past disappointments in the back of our mind, we will stay stuck and experience hope differed. I hear the Lord saying, “Move forward! Forgive and release those who have hurt you, and continue to make Me your number one priority. Allow My healing balm to heal and cleanse those areas that have been wounded. Move forward in love, leaving all results in My hands.

Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe (Proverbs 29:25).

Do not be concerned about your reputation, nor worry what others think of you. The Lord is setting His people free from the fear of man and the desire to please others. Let our attitudes be as that of Christ Jesus:

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness (Philippians 2:5-7).

God is rewarding those who have continued to be faithful to their calling, regardless of what it has cost them, as it is written: “‘Truly I tell you,’ Jesus said to them, ‘no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God'” (Luke 18:29). Continue to passionately pursue the Lord, making Him your heart’s highest desire. Press onward, and leave the past behind. Run, and do not turn back! He is your exceedingly great reward.

Spring Up, O Well!

Then Israel sang this song: “Spring up, O well! Sing about it!” | Numbers 21:17

Recently, while I was worshiping the Lord and pressing into His presence, I began to hear the phrase, “Spring up, O well!”

32564773943_f3657ed5fd

In the book of Numbers, we read about the Israelite people. They had been traveling through the desert, and the people were beginning to grow weary. Yet the Lord, in His goodness, gave the Israelites water, even in the very midst of their ‘desert place.’

From there they continued on to Beer, the well where the LORD said to Moses, ‘Gather the people together and I will give them water.’ Then Israel sang this song: “Spring up, O well! Sing about it” (Numbers 21:16).

Many have been experiencing their own, personal ‘desert season.’ Things around you may feel barren, yet the Lord is saying, “Even in these hard and parched places, open up your mouth and sing! Yes, sing and declare, ‘Spring up, O well!’ I am going to cause My living waters to flow amidst the very desert places that you have been encountering. New life is springing up from the very circumstances that have appeared to be dead.”

I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive. I will set junipers in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress together, so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it (Isaiah 41:18-20).

Praise is vital in this season. I sense that the Lord is urging us to open our mouths and sing, open our arms and dance, and “get our praise on” like never before! As we do this, that hard ground will finally begin to break. I’m reminded of how Paul and Silas were imprisoned, facing the most dire circumstances. Yet, as the men praised God within their cells, the chains began to break off of them! See, despite Paul and Silas’ natural circumstances, they chose to lift up the Lord. Lift up your offering of praise to the Lord of Hosts, and watch your prison doors fling wide!

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose (Acts 16:25-26).

God is breaking chains of bondage that have once kept his people bound. His love is healing hearts, awaking them back to life. Though this season has been extremely intense, do not grow battle weary. Take heart, for new life is coming forth out of the desert places. Yes, it shall spring up suddenly!

Just like a seed falls to the ground and dies, eventually there comes a great harvest of new life from it. “Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds” (John 12:24). Your tears of intercession have been watering the seeds in your life, and I see a great harvest coming forth. Nothing has been lost that the Lord cannot restore. Lift your head and be encouraged! You are about to reap an amazing harvest, and truly, new life is springing up from the wastelands.

See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:19).

Healing of the Soul

Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. | 3 John 1:2

Allow Me to heal you, My beloved, for I am desiring to heal deep wounds of the soul in this hour. Do not be surprised or dismayed by what’s rising to the surface, as nothing takes Me off guard. Have you not asked for My fire to purify you and burn away the dross? Continue to embrace the flame of My Spirit, and allow it to cleanse, purify, and refine you. I say to you, you are being refined in the furnace now, yet these light and momentary trials are producing somethings even greater in you (in reference to 2 Corinthians 4:17). You are, indeed, coming forth like the gold.

Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?’ (Isaiah 45:9b). Trust that My hand is at work, even while you are on the Potter’s wheel.

Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand (Isaiah 64:8).

Beloved, I am healing your soul. It is My desire for you to be in good health, even as your soul prospers. There is no need to try and cover or put a veil over what I already see. Trust Me to go deeper still, knowing that the discomfort you are currently experiencing will soon allow you to reap an even greater harvest. For very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds (John 12:24).

The death of self that you’re experiencing is giving way to new life. Rejoice, for I am doing a great and mighty work in you! I am unwinding something in you that once had held you in bondage .As you continue to allow My light to shine on your wounded areas of the soul, letting Me bring My healing and restoration, you will come forth stronger than ever before: free and unbound. Take heart, and be of good courage, knowing that the work I am doing in you is good.

My strength is being perfected in you, even in your weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12:9). Though you feel weary, I am strengthening and sustaining you. Right now it may seem as though you are confined inside of a dark cocoon. Yet, even in the struggle, your wings are being strengthened. Very soon you will come out of the tight, restricted places you’re experiencing. Yes, indeed, you are about ready to burst forth and soar to new heights with Me!

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified, for I, the Lord your God, go with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Be encouraged, and do not be distracted by the pain of this world, for I am working My purposes in you.

Keep Your Eyes on Me

You become like what you gaze upon and behold, so put your eyes on Me! As the old hymn says,

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
          -“Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus,” Lemmel

Do not fix your eyes on the circumstances you see currently, for they are subject to change. Rather, keep your eyes on Me. I am the constant and unmovable One who is not like a shifting shadow. As you continue to focus on Me, you will come up and abide in a higher place. You will have peace, even in the midst of the storm. Like the eagle, you will fly high above. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 12:33).

Your Pain Will Soon Make Way for Great Joy

O people in Zion … you will weep no longer. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you. Although the Lord has given you bread of privation and water of oppression, He, your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher. Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it.” | Isaiah 30:19-21

Though many are in the midst of trials and hard-pressing circumstances, God is encouraging us not to lose heart in this season. Do not throw away your confidence, for help is on the way! Truly, the Lord hears your cries, and as it is written in Isaiah, “He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you” (Isaiah 30:19). Do not believe the lie of the enemy that would seek for you to believe that God has abandoned you, for just the opposite is true. God is with you, and He is your present help during times of trouble.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;
Though its waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
The holy dwelling places of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered;
He raised His voice, the earth melted.
The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold (Psalm 46:1-7)

In the midst of the shaking, it is vital that we stay anchored in the truth: the Lord is good, and all of His ways are right and just. Yes, we have a good Father. “He is [our] rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him” (Psalm 92:15b).

Our God knows just how much heat and wind you can withstand, and He is training your hands to war in this season (Psalm 144:1). The trials you are facing are becoming your teachers, equipping you for battle. You are being fortified and made stronger, even in the midst of the current adversity that you’re feeling. Be encouraged! This season is shifting, and the storms will come to a still.

The Son is getting ready to burst through the clouds, and you are going to be refreshed and revived by His presence. He is breathing new life into weary hearts. Keep pressing into Jesus! Deep encounters of refreshing and visitation are upon you in this coming season. As you refuse to be moved by what you see in the natural and choose to go deeper with the Lord, you will experience the very floodgates of His presence open up to you, and joy will be your portion!

In Matthew, it is written, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied” (Matthew 5:6). The Lord is honoring hunger in this hour, and a broken and contrite heart He will not despise (Psalm 51:17).

Know that the Lord, Himself, is fighting for you. He will rejoice over you with singing, and He will quiet you with His love (Zephaniah 3:17). Continue to trust the heart of your heavenly Father, even when you do not understand. He is working everything for your good; He is strengthening and expanding you. You are being forged in the fire, but you are coming out. You will be refined like pure gold. Take heart, for your finest hour is upon you!

Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you (Isaiah 60:1).

As I Am, so Are You!

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. | Ephesians 2:6-7

As I was having my quiet time with the Lord this morning, I heard the words, “As I am, so are you.” I began to press into the Lord’s heart regarding this statement, and as I did so, I heard Him speak the following:

 Be heavenly minded, today and always. Align your thoughts and your words with Mine, for you are seated with Me in heavenly places, and you have access to heaven’s economy. I have made all that is Mine freely available to you. Healing is yours, peace is yours, and wholeness is yours. Is there any sickness in Me? Is there any lack in Me? Assuredly not! As I am, so are you. Clothe yourself in this truth, for it is your portion in Me.

I am teaching you in this hour to walk on the water and to take a step into the waves. You will walk on top of your circumstances, for you are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath (Deuteronomy 28:13). I will cause your feet to be like that of a deer, so that you may walk on the high places with Me (Psalm 18:33).

490195590_d473daaa60_oFor far too long, My bride has been living below her potential. I am calling her forth to arise and shine in this hour, wielding her sword of truth. The weapons of her warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty in the pulling down of strongholds. Today I say, My bride will overcome by the blood of the Lamb, and the word of her testimony (Revelation 12:11).

As you open your mouth and speak to your mountain, you will begin to see your circumstances change. Keep fighting the good fight like a well-equipped soldier. Continue to wield your sword of truth, and know that you are overcoming from a place of victory! I have given you all authority to overcome, and you are more than a conqueror in Me.

Hold Your Peace

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. | Psalm 121: 1-8

Many are feeling an intensity in the spirit realm right now. It seems as though a war is being waged against you, but I hear the Lord saying, “Hold your peace, and do not cast away your confidence.”

The Lord desires to encourage His people today. John 16:21 says, “When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.” I hear the voice of the Lord saying to His people, “You are experiencing birth pains, as you are being enlarged and expanded. The birthing process can be messy and uncomfortable. Yet, like a woman who gives birth forgets the pain and rejoices as she holds the promise of the Lord in her arms, so it will be with you. I say to you, the pain you are feeling cannot compare to the joy that is coming!”

Yes, there is opposition, but I sense that God is longing to remind us that those who are with us are more than those who are with them (2 Kings 6:16). I speak to those with fearful hearts: rise up, of mighty men and women of valor! Set your eyes not on what you see in the physical—that which would seek to get you to turn your back—but keep your eyes locked on the Lord of Hosts. He is the One who is mighty in battle, and He is the One who fights for you! God is going before you, preparing the way. Know that in Him, your victory is assured. This battle is not yours, but the Lord’s.

Though many things in the natural may currently look like the opposite of what God has promised you, these circumstances are nothing but smokescreens. Do not let the fire that you feel distract you from the One who holds you in the palms of His hands. The truth is, the Lord is sustaining you in this moment. By Him and through Him, all things are being held together (Colossians 1:17).

Declare aloud that greater is He who lives inside of you than he who is living in the world (1 John 4:4). The enemy is defeated, and your destiny is getting ready to come full circle. Hold your peace, and know that God prepares a table of feasting in the very presence of your enemies (Psalm 23:5). His arms are sustaining you, and you are not going under the waves. Yes, the very opposite is true: the Lord is enlarging you, bringing you into a spacious place (Psalm 18:19).

The storms and winds may rage, and the waves will rise, but let us not forget that through it all, Jesus is in the boat with us. You are highly protected. The angel of the Lord encamps around you; there is no need to fear (Psalm 34:7).

Great and opportune seasons of destiny and promotion are about to manifest. The storms will cease, and all will be well. The Lord is with you, and He is mighty in your midst. Keep your eyes on the Constant One, for He will not fail you.
