A New Place of Freedom

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep water. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me. | Psalm 18:16-19

The Lord gave me a picture recently of a person walking down a long, winding dirt road. They had with them many bags of heavy luggage. In this picture, the person put down their luggage one by one, leaving it on the ground. Then I watched, as they began to walk forward, not looking back at the baggage they had left behind. There was a new spring in their step, whereas before they could barely walk. Everything felt so much more light now that the heavy luggage had been released. The person I had been observing was now quickly advancing, moving along the road with much speed and ease.

I believe that the luggage in the picture was symbolic in regards to “baggage” and burdens that many in the body of Christ have been feeling heavily weighed down with. These burdens may represent wounding of the soul, fear of the future, unanswered questions . . . the list can go on. Yet, as we release our baggage, just like the person in the picture, we will see a new hope begin to rise. As we let go, we will have a new confidence and a great sense of expectancy of the Father’s goodness begin to well up from inside of us.

I hear the Lord saying, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls (Matthew 11:28-29). When you lay down your burdens at My feet, you will come into a new place of freedom; you will run with great ease through the places where you once felt you could barely walk.”

Those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint (Isaiah 40:31)

I sense that the Lord is bringing many out of what has been a long and extended season of feeling confined. He is guiding them into a new, spacious place of freedom. As it says in the Book of Psalms, “The Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He delighted in me” (Psalm 18:19).

I see prison doors that were formally locked beginning to fling wide open. Chains that had once held many captive are being broken, and people are walking out completely free and unbound. What used to hold down the children of God is losing its grip. The grave clothes are coming off, and the Father is adorning these precious ones with new and glorious garments. Their countenance will be barely recognizable, now that they are walking in new found freedom!

I delight greatly in the Lord;
my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels (Isaiah 61:10).

I see flowers of vivid color and beauty popping up out of what used to be a barren field. New life is springing forth out of what was once a desert place. The Lord is giving you beauty for ashes, and the oil of joy where there was once mourning (Isaiah 61:3). Watch, as you will release the very freedom and healing to others that you, too, have received. Freely you have received, so freely give (Matthew 10:8).

See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:19).

I declare life to your barren places and new strength and hope to you today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners . . . to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. | Isaiah 61:1-3

God’s Love is Healing Hearts

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” | John 8:32

There are some people who feel as though they have been taking taking two steps back for every step they’ve taken forward. The enemy would seek to make you believe that you are losing ground, but the truth is that you are, in fact, taking ground. You are advancing the Kingdom, despite what you see or feel in the natural. Keep moving forward; keep declaring the truth of the Father.

Even though things may feel dry in this season, keep pressing into the Lord. His Word is breaking up hard and stony ground, and His Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). There is much happening behind the scenes, and your Heavenly Father is working on your behalf, even now. Your prayers are like incense that go before His thrown (Revelation 8:4).

Be encouraged! God’s love is healing tired hearts in this hour. Do not become weary in your well doing. You are going to reap harvests of blessing, one after another, as you continue to run your race well.

“Yes indeed, it won’t be long now … Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills” (Amos 9:13-15 MSG).

The Lord is Vindicating You

The Lord sees your tears. He sees the posture of your heart and how you’ve kept your heart soft and pliable, even in the midst of extreme adversity. He is so very close to you. Be assured, He hasn’t missed a thing! He is going to vindicate you, and all that has been hidden will be revealed. (Luke 8:17 – For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open).

Where man has spoken out disapproval of you, the Lord is marking you and ROARING over you! He is honoring those who have remained faithful to their calling, even amidst the misunderstanding, slander, and heartache. He is about to turn things around, as you stay in a posture of worship and humility. The Lord, Himself, is going to promote you. He gives grace to the humble but resists the proud. Keep pressing into Him and keep your eyes on the prize. (Philippians 3:14).

I Am Calling You to Deeper Intimacy

Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me. | Psalm 42:7

Continue to press into Me, as I call you to a deeper place of intimacy. Be rest assured, My bride, that no evil will harm you. I am inviting you to seek refuge under My wings. Nestle closer to Me, even in the midst of the wind and the storms, for you are safe and protected when you abide in your Bridegroom.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you” (Psalm 91:4-7).

I am able to keep you safe from all harm, even amidst the chaos, evil, and turbulence of this world. As you come into deeper intimacy with Me, I will give you the ability to live without fear or dread. Remember, the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Continue to press into My heart, and I will give you My perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

As a child of God, you have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Be encouraged! The things that had once tormented you and have caused you to fear are losing their grip on your life. Renew your mind, and feast upon My goodness.

I am drawing you to Myself, taking you past the outer courts and into a deeper place of intimacy with Me. How I long for sweet fellowship with you! You have stolen My heart, My sister, My bride; you have stolen My heart with one glance of your eyes … (Song of Songs 4:9).

As you continue to spend time in My presence, I will begin to change you into My very likeness. You will soon be brought into a new place of freedom, no longer gripped by fear. Drink deeply of My living water, and you will find rest for your soul (John 4:14). For if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed (John 8:36)!

With Rest Comes Freedom

“Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you” | Zechariah 9:12

I truly feel the Lord’s heart of compassion and encouragement toward those who are growing battle weary and on the verge of losing their hope. There are those who have been faithful, standing upon the promises of the Father. They have contended for and have walked in obedience toward the things that God has called them to, even though it seems as though war has broken out against them. But be encouraged, O people of God! Your redeemer draws near.

Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident (Psalm 27:3).

I hear the Lord saying, “Help is on the way! I have released My angels to assist and strengthen you in this hour; even now you are being made stronger.” Keep your eyes on the Lord. Feast on His goodness, and know that even now your Redeemer is preparing a table of feasting for you in the very presence of your enemies (Psalm 23:5).

This is a time to go deeper into the Father’s rest, for rest is a form of warfare. Be assured: the Lord is fighting your battles, even as you take time to rest in Him. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (1 Samuel 17:47). As you let go and let God, you will begin to see His hand at work in your life. The Lord is going to uproot lies and fears that have once found a lodging place in your heart and mind. Pick up your hope, and remember that His perfect love casts out all fear.

The Lord is renewing the minds and thought processes that have not lined up with the truth of the Father’s heart. He is bringing His people out of Egypt and out of a slavery mentality. Bondages that have been holding down the church for years will suddenly break off. Those things that used to bind and torment you will finally lose its grip. The Lord of Hosts has heard the cries of His people, and He is delivering them into a new place of freedom. You will no longer feel hemmed in and confined; the Lord Himself is bringing you into a new, spacious place!

I see grave clothes coming off of the Bride, and the Lord is putting new, beautiful garments on His people. Watch as He crowns you with a crown of beauty and washes away despair.

I delight greatly in the Lord;
my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels (Isaiah 61:10).

I speak renewed hope over those who are in despair. I release joy in the very areas where you have experienced extreme heartache. As it is written in Psalm 24:9, “Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.” The Lord is rising on your behalf, and your victory is certain!

I want to encourage you to align your thoughts and your words with the promises of the Lord. Prophecy to the dead bones, “Come alive,” for He is about to change everything. The areas of your greatest disappointments will soon be flooded with new life. Your breakthrough is near! Stand still, and see the salvation of your God (2 Chronicles 20:17).

“You’ve turned my mourning into dancing
Put off my rags and clothed me with gladness
And I will arise and I will praise you
I’ll sing and not be silent” (Hillsong United, “Taste and See”).

Every Good and Perfect Gift Comes from Above

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. | James 1:17

I have such a sense of renewed hope and expectancy in my spirit. The Lord is good, and all of His ways are just.

He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he (Deuteronomy 32:4).

“May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge” (Ruth 2:12). I sense so strongly that many who have faithfully labored for the Lord, stewarding well all that He has entrusted them with, are about to step into an amazing season of harvest.

This will be a season of replevin. The word ‘replevin’ (by definition) is a legal term that means, “the recovery by a person of goods or chattels claimed to be wrongfully taken or detained … (Merriam-Webster). God is now releasing blessings and benefits that have been withheld from you in past seasons! Yes, blessings and benefits that the Lord desires to bestow upon you and have once been withheld are going to be released at rapid speed. Even as it is written in Scripture, “Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return” (Ecclesiastes 11:1).

Back pay is coming to many for the things they have given and sown into the Kingdom with pure hearts. This not only includes sowing financially, but also laboring for the Lord faithfully in ministry and continuing to serve Him. You may have forgotten about some of the things that you have given, due to the amount of time that has past, but the Lord is saying today, “I have not forgotten your labor of love for My Kingdom! Your season of reaping is now upon you.”

Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way, say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, He will come with vengeance; with divine retribution He will come to save you” (Isaiah 35:3-5). I speak and declare a renewed hope and strength over those who have become weary in well doing. Our God will reward those who diligently seek Him, and no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11).

“So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant” (Joshua 24:13). The King of kings is enlarging territories and expanding your borders. I believe that many are going to encounter supernatural increase. There are those who’s debts will be canceled for the glory of the Lord, and houses and lands will be given unto them. You will experience the extravagant favor of the Lord, and it will cause many others to come into the Kingdom. They will know that the hand of God is at work because of the goodness that He pours out upon you.

Begin to encourage yourself in the Lord, and let hope arise. Our good Father has heard your prayers, and He is going to do above and beyond all that we can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Fear the Lord, you his holy people,
for those who fear him lack nothing (Psalm 34:8-9).

April Abundance: The Lord Is Sending His Refreshing Rains!

Then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil. I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied. | Deuteronomy 11:14-15

I was very happy to turn over the calendar today from the month of March, entering into April. For myself, and I believe many others, the month of March was an intense time with a lot of warfare and opposition. However, even amidst the very opposition we may have experienced, I believe that the Lord was strengthening us. We will be found coming up out of our wilderness season, leaning on our Beloved (Song of Songs 8:5). His desire during that time of “wilderness” was to prepare and establish us for the new oil and abundance that He is getting ready to pour out.

The Lord does not waste our pain. Through the stretching and trials that we have endured, we have been made stronger. We are now prepared for the “new” that He is ready to entrust us with. Mark 2:22 says that, “no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.” We are becoming new wine skins in this very hour, in order that we may be able to contain the new, fresh wine and steward the increase well.

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life” (Proverbs 13:12). There is such a refreshing and renewal that is taking place right now. The Lord is reviving weary hearts back to life, and He is healing hope deferred.

I feel such a sense of joy and peace as we not only physically advance into a new month, but also begin to enter into this brand new season ahead. The hardness of the previous month has lifted, and we entering into a time of singing and rejoicing!

See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land. The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me
(Song of Songs 2:11-13).

I heard the Lord say, “April abundance,” and I believe that He is desiring to send a sweet message to His Bride. He says, “I will now send My sweet rains of refreshing and cleansing upon My people in the month of April. These rains will wash away the pain, weariness, and heartache from the previous seasons that you’ve experienced.”

You gave abundant showers, O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance. Your people settled in it, and from your bounty, God, you provided for the poor (Psalm 68:9-10).

I believe that many surprises will suddenly spring forth in the month of April, including surprises of physical and emotional healing that some have been contending for, even for many years. Yes, know that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16b). “Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard” (Isaiah 58:8).

Many have continued to stand and contend for God’s promises, even in the midst of great, personal pain and misunderstanding. Lift your eyes, O weary ones, for your redemption draws near (Luke 21:28b). Not for a moment has the Lord left your side or forsaken you.

I am reminded of the poem, “Footprints in the Sand.” It tells of a man who had a dream, and in the dream, he was walking on the beach with the Lord. As he walked on the shore, reflecting on his life, he noticed that during some of life’s most difficult moments there was only one set of footprints in the sand. In the dream he questioned God, asking, “Why did you leave me during the times when I needed you most?” The Lord replied, saying to the man, “When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you” (“Footprints in the Sand”).

The Lord is our burden bearer, and even now, He is breaking chains that have sought to keep us bound. Our Father is removing those heavy burdens that have weighed down His children. I feel the Lord’s heart of compassion and encouragement extended so strongly towards those who have felt heart-sick and even bewildered by all of the adversity that has taken place. Be encouraged! Our Savior has seen every tear that you have ever cried, and He is rushing on the scene like a mighty warrior.

Yahweh is a warrior, Yahweh is His Name (Exodus 15:3). The Lord is strong and mighty in battle. He is bringing His beloved Bride into a season of rest, peace, and great refreshing. For where you were previously not able to let down because of the consistent battle, now you will be able to rest and drink deeply of the Lord’s abundant peace. He, Himself, is fighting for you!

You have come through the fire of the last season, forged and refined like the gold, and you are about ready to see and experience the Lord’s goodness like never before! What He is about ready to release in your life will bring you such joy and restoration that you will say, “How could I have doubted the Lord’s great goodness and love for me, even for a moment?”

After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10).

Like Job, you are about to receive “double for your trouble!” Those who have sown in tears are about to reap much joy (Psalm 126:5). The Lord is sending the sweet, April rains of abundance. Listen closely, do you hear it?

And Elijah said to Ahab, “Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain” (1 Kings 18:41).
