Restoration of Your Joy and Childlike Wonder

To all who mourn in Israel,
He will give a crown of beauty for ashes,
a joyous blessing instead of mourning,
festive praise instead of despair.
In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks
that the Lord has planted for His own glory. | Isaiah 61:3

The Lord wants to encourage those who are feeling ‘heart sick’ and on the verge of losing hope. Many have become at the point of being saddened and bitter because what you are seeing with your eyes does not seem to be lining up with the promises of God over your life. You may have thought that you would be in a completely different place by this time of the year. In fact, everything you thought would be better by now is seeming to appear even more bleak than before. If this is you, take heart! For I prophesy to you today that your story is far from over!

You will finish this year strongly and victoriously. Though you feel that you are barely limping to the finish line of 2019. the Lord has a mighty come back in the making. The enemy knows your victory is at hand, and that’s why that warfare has been unlike anything you’ve previously encountered. Even so, know this: your breakthrough is going to be bigger and greater than anything you’ve seen before! When you have once seen the trickle of God’s blessing, I now hear the Father saying, “Prepare for the flood!” As it is written, ‘See if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it’ (Malachi 3:10).

It is imperative that you continue to fight the good fight of faith. Beloved, do not give up! Make sure that your words, thoughts, and the posture of your heart align with what the Lord has told you.

Today, I break off fear, doubt, and discouragement from the body of Christ! I cast off the lies of the enemy that would seek to harass you and tell you that you’ve missed God. Truly, you are right on target! The fog is lifting, and even now the Lord is bringing restoration of your joy and childlike wonder. Dare to believe in Him, for what He said He’d do, He will accomplish. The Lord’s Word will not return void, but it will accomplish the purpose for which He sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

Though you have felt as though you’ve been walking through the valley of the shadow of death, you are now coming into a wide and spacious place. God is resurrecting you because His delight is in you. Truly, He is resurrecting your joy and childlike wonder, even now. Expect and anticipate nothing other than the Lord’s very best for you. He won’t fail you, and your victory is assured!

When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dreamed.
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them” (Psalm 126:1-2).

  1. This is a 100 % me!! Thank you SO much – it is SO encouraging!!!! The warfare has been SO hard on SO many levels since November in particular and ongoing. I can see with my eyes what the Lord has promised me, but it looks the opposite in the natural, and it has been SO heard and heart-breaking, but I have HIS WORDS to stand on!!! I will keep believing and praying for the impossible and have ‘hope against hope’, even though it is very hard as well… God bless you. Love, Catina

  2. This spoke directly to me today. I’m waiting for restoration in finances. My new dream job has finally appeared but the employer and I are having trouble meeting. The enemy is clearly hard at work. The Lord spoke directly to me, through this message. Hope deferred makes the heart sick but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. I’m pushing through. My word over the last week has been victory and victorious. We will prevail. Thank you.

  3. Praising God for this word! It has been a long, hard fight against cancer and it seemed like a setback in so many areas this past month. I despaired of making it through as joy seemed elusive, but this spoke so strongly to me and to my family.
