Guard Your Heart Against Offence!

“Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.”

Romans 13:8

Many are in line for promotion and the enemy is seeking to trap you in his web of offence. However, be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).

I sense the Lord saying, “Guard your heart against offence! It is a trap sent by the evil one to cloud your vision and to hinder you from the advancement that is taking place.

“As written in My Word, we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

“Bless those who curse you and pray for those who spitefully use you (Luke 6:28). Do not over think things nor be concerned about others opinion of you; this too, is a trap of the enemy meant to divert you off the path I am leading you on.”

“Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.”

Proverbs 29:25

It is imperative in this season to be solely focused. Do not be alarmed if your close circle of friends shifts or even shrinks. In this place of advancement, the Lord is realigning circumstances and even relationships, so be willing to lay down what he is calling you; know that you will find your tribe as you faithfully walk into the new. Trust the he will lead your steps!

“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”

Isaiah 30:21

Resist the urge to defend yourself against any slander or accusations that come against you. The Lord alone is your defense! As you continue to humble yourself under his mighty hand, you will be safe.

“In the shelter of your presence you hide them from all human intrigues;
you keep them safe in your dwelling from accusing tongues.”

Psalm 31:20

The Lord resists the proud, but gives much grace to the humble (James 4:6). Saturate yourself in worship and in the Lord’s presence. Continue to abide in the secret place. The Lord is not blind to the battle that you are facing, for he alone is your protector. Remember, Guard your heart against offence!

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Exodus 14:14
