Out of the Wilderness

“Who is this coming up from the wilderness leaning on her beloved?”

Song of Solomon 8:5a

While dwelling in the presence of the Lord, I saw a picture of myself emerging out of an intense wilderness season, leaning on Jesus. I sense this represents many in the body of Christ right now. As I continued to sit with the Lord, he began to encourage me:

“Many are currently in a season of wilderness. Testing and trials have seemingly arisen out of nowhere, and you are left wondering what you have done wrong to provoke such fiery testing; however, know this: what the enemy sent to knock you off course has only served to strengthen you and usher you into a season of increase.

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”

Genesis 50:20

“Be assured that you have not missed the mark! In fact, the very opposite is true! You are right on target. Though the enemy sought to blindside you by throwing one obstacle after another, stay the course and continue walking forward. I am strengthening your resolve, even amidst the challenges. You are coming out of the wilderness, leaning on your Beloved!

“Do not be moved! Do not look to the right or to the left, just keep your focus on Me and what I have spoken. I am not slack concerning any of the promises I have made to you. As it is written in My Word, ‘All of my promises to you are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20)!

“I am with you, My child. Refuse to doubt when I speak to you, for you are taking much ground and pushing back the darkness. I am with you, I am for you, and I am using this season of adversity to pave the way for blessings. Raise your hallelujah and praise Me amidst the storm. Watch as I prepare for you a table of feasting in the presence of your enemies. I am working all things together for your good, for this is who I am. Rejoice and know that you are coming up out of the wilderness!”

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”

Psalm 23:5
