Step into the slipstream of my grace!

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2nd Corinthians 12:9 NIV

Slipstream (Noun) — an assisting force regarded as drawing something along behind something else. (Oxford Languages).

Have you ever noticed at times when some people will drive closely behind a big rig while traveling down the interstate? Ever notice how race car drivers will follow inches behind the car in front of them while racing at extreme speeds? Did you know that airline pilots will often try to fly inside the jet stream while flying from west to east?

In each circumstance, these people are taking advantage of “the slipstream effect”. This is a phenomena that happens when air resistance is greatly reduced behind the leader and is available to travel in for someone else. By doing this, fuel mileage is increased and smoother travel conditions are usually created. This is what the Lord is saying when He says, “Step into the slipstream of My grace!”

I hear the Lord saying, “Step into My slipstream of My grace! Truly, My yoke is easy and My burden is light! Resist the urge to try and figure everything out on your own. There is much change happening in so many places and areas so I’m teaching you to trust Me at a deeper level. I’m teaching you to leave all outcomes in My hands. Expect to see my goodness in ALL circumstances. Leave those heavy burdens at My feet. I never intended for you to carry them! I am your burden bearer and your all sufficient one!”

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”. John 10:10 NIV

“Have no fear of the future for dread and fear are not your portion! Allow me to be your confidence and live in joyful abundance and hope! Expect to experience my peace and joy on a deeper level as you step into the slipstream of My grace!”

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
