THE NEW SEASON
Truly, we have boldly taken the first several steps into this new year and this new season! Many things will be new and too numerous to count! What is new can become overwhelming for many as they seek to find a form of stability in the old and familiar. What worked in one season may not work as well in this season, and therefore, can cause frustration to set in and become an undeniable byproduct. This frustration can, unknowingly, cause a bitter root to form in our hearts, hindering the new work that the Lord desires to unveil and release to you. The more things change, the greater the frustration can become.
SKILLED SURFERS
Think of the new season as a skilled surfer riding the oceans waves. Once the surfer catches a wave, he only focuses on the action of the wave directly in front of him and responds to it accordingly. He never looks behind him to see what the wave has already done and he never tries to control the wave because he knows the wave is too powerful! Rather, he partners with the wave, responding to its ever changing actions in front of him to achieve his best ride possible! He is calm and collective, diving below each wave if he should wipe out. This conserves his energies so he can regain his composure and get back on his surfboard or swim safely back to shore.
CLEARER VISION
I hear the Lord saying, “I am removing your blockages and I am destroying those things that have attempted to hinder you and cloud your vision! I am dethroning false narratives that have tried to instill you with doubt and fear. Raise your vision! Come and see from a higher point of view! I am calling you to come higher!
