“A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.” John 16:21 NIV

BIRTHING

Labor pains in the birthing process grow with intensity as the time of birth approaches. The most intense time is when the baby’s head is crowning. This is also where the baby’s shoulders are being compressed to squeeze through the mothers pelvic girdle. The space is extremely tight! It is at this point that many birthing mothers will express that they are completely out of strength and that they don’t have anything left to push through and finish the birthing process. This is where the seasoned nurse or midwife will encourage but sternly command them to push with everything they have. There is no stopping. There is no going back!

TRAVAIL TO JOY

I hear the Lord giving a word of encouragement to the pioneers and intercessors saying, “I am with you and My grace is upon you! The weight of that which you carry has been intense. Nevertheless, even as a woman in labor feels the anguish, her pain soon gives way to pure joy once her child is born. You have travailed in the spirit and felt the labor pains. You have come to the crescendo where the thing that needs to change is upon you! Push now! Birth out what I have placed inside of you! Yes, this has been intense! I am bestowing more grace for you to be intense and to push this through the birthing canal!
