2018: A Year of Great Freedom

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. | John 8:36

It says in the Word that the Lord cuts off every branch that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful (John 15:2). I believe that 2018 is going to be a year of incredible freedom for those who have surrendered their all for the Lord. These people have allowed the Lord to have His way in their lives, as they’ve truly embraced the pruning process (even when it seemed painful to their flesh).

The year of 2017 has been an intense season, but it has also been a year of personal growth. There have been many ongoing issues that some in the Body of Christ (myself, included) have been facing head-on for a long period of time. We have been contending for freedom from issues that have been passed down through generational bloodlines. It has seemed as though the enemy has been working overtime to bring division and destruction. However, despite these circumstances, we know that if anything is brought to the light it can no longer hide in the darkness (Ephesians 5:13). Be encouraged, Beloved! God’s heart for you and your loved ones is to bring healing and restoration; for the blood of Christ speaks a better word (Hebrews 12:24).

A couple months ago I began travailing over some things, and to my flesh it felt extremely uncomfortable. As I inquired of the Lord as to what I was experiencing, He immediately quickened my spirit and reminded me of a word that He had given to me in January of this year. The Lord further instructed me to go back and reread that word over again. I was shocked, as I discovered after pulling up the word that I had written it exactly nine months ago from that day.

God instantly began to flood my spirit with His wisdom and revelation in regards to my question and feelings of discomfort. “I gave you a word declaring that 2017 will be the year that the umbilical cord is cut. Nine months later, similar to a mother’s pregnancy, I am bringing that word to completion in your life. Now is your time of birthing! You are experiencing discomfort, even as a woman in labor has birthing pains. However, once the baby is birthed, there will be incredible joy and freedom.”

The Lord has been cutting away unhealthy attachments and root systems so that the Bride of Christ can come into her place of freedom. I sense even now, as 2017 is coming to a close, that the Lord is completing this process of inner healing. Then they will be able to enter into 2018 completely healed of soul wounds and those unhealthy attachments.

Although His “cutting away” process can be painful to our flesh, it is all for good. God is getting rid of the old wine skins and making room for the new. This can be a vulnerable process; often during times like this, the enemy tries to come in and deceive. Yet, just as it’s written, “the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy,” but the Lord has come so that we can have life more abundantly (John 10:10).

Do not believe the lies of the enemy that seek to tell you that you are being punished. The truth of the matter is that the Lord prunes His fruitful branches, those whom He loves, so that they can produce an even greater harvest. I believe that those God uses the most often endure the most intense time of pruning, however, it is so that they are prepared to carry the “more” that He is about to release upon them. To whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48).

Beloved, if you find yourself in a season where things are being brought into the light, know that the Lord is bringing restoration by allowing this to surface. He is completing His work in you, and He is flushing out any toxins in order to bring the healing that He so desires to give. Truly the Lord is doing a great work, as His ways and thoughts are always higher than ours.

It is vital in this season to look beyond what we see in the natural, having absolute trust that the Lord will complete the good work that He started in us. He tears down, but He also rebuilds (Job 12:14, Isaiah 61:4).

I sense the Lord’s heart of encouragement today. He is in the process of rebuilding, making beauty out of the ashes. Jesus Christ is allowing His Bride to enter into complete wholeness and health so that she can be fully equipped to go into this next year strong and free from her past entanglements and bondage. 2018 will be a year of new assignments, greater favor, and even geographical relocation for many. If you are currently experiencing turbulence, just hold on. This will soon clear, for the Son is breaking forth and you will experience a new day!

What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived—
the things God has prepared for those who love him (1 Corinthians 2:9).

A December to Remember

I sense the Lord saying that this will be a December to remember. Many have been desiring and crying out for restoration in their lives, something that which cannot be purchased or placed under the Christmas tree. However, the Lord is going to deliver these things to you. He has heard your prayers and petitions, and His ear is bent towards you (Psalm 116:2).

I feel the Lord specifically highlighting restoration of health and restoration of relationships in this season. As it is written in Jeremiah 30:17, “I [the Lord] will restore your health and heal your wounds.” The Word also promised us that He will “restore the years the locust has eaten” (Joel 2:25) and “turn the hearts of the father to the hearts of the children” (Malachi 4:6).

Expect to see things drastically and suddenly shift in your life, as it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom (Luke 12:32). Rejoice, for this will be a December to remember!

Jehovah Nissi: The Lord Your Banner

The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.”

So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.”

Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner. | Exodus 17:8-15

“I am the life giver, and I am the answer to any problem or difficulty that you may be facing. Come to Me all who are weary, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). Come, drink of My living waters, and you shall thirst no more (John 4:14).

“Fix your eyes on Me, My Beloved, and not your problems. For I am the answer, your all sufficient One, and your ever present help in times of need (Psalm 46:1). Refuse to give into worry or fear, rather receive My peace that surpasses all understanding. Be confident that I am Jehovah Nissi, the Lord your Banner. Surely My banner over you is VICTORY,” declares the Lord!

The Gift of Faith

“I release unto you the gift of faith: faith that sees with the reality of heaven’s eyes, faith that says to your mountain, ‘Be removed and cast into the sea!’ (Mark 11:23). For truly nothing shall be impossible for you as you receive this gift of faith that I am bestowing upon you, even now. You will laugh at what used to buffet and overwhelm you. You will receive and know my peace like never before. You will walk in great freedom,” declares the Lord, “for you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). Freedom is your portion in Me,” says the Lord!

What Has Looked Like Loss Will Soon Turn into Gain!

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap | Psalm 113:7

I sense that many in the body of Christ have been going through an intense time of pruning, as they’ve carried such grief over what appears to be a tremendous season of loss in their lives. However, the Lord is going to release such an incredible joy and freedom over His people, as He visits those places of deep disappointments and delivers a great healing.

I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying, “What has looked like loss and rubble in your life will soon be turned into a great gain. I am going to resurrect a massive turnaround in the very areas where you have seen the most heartache and upheaval. Indeed, I will give you double for your trouble. Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours (Isaiah 61:7). My very glory will be seen in the areas that have caused My people such grief and heartache.”

I sense the Lord’s heart of encouragement to hold on to hope and to not throw away your confidence. So many have been experiencing hope differed because of the longevity of the battling and contending. Some may feel that they have taken two steps forward, only to have the enemy knock them several steps back again. However, I am reminded of how an arrow must be pulled back in order to gain the momentum it needs to be launched forward. Beloved, you are an arrow in the hand of the Lord, and the tension that you have been feeling is preparing you to be launched further than you could ever imagine!

He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver (Isaiah 49:2).

You are not going backwards, rather, God is catapulting you forward. Even as 2017 is nearing a close, many may have become disillusioned, because they have found themselves in circumstances and situations that would appear to be hopeless in the natural realm. At the beginning of the year, they thought that they would be in a completely different place than they were before. Some may even feel as though things are worse now than they once were. Yet I believe that the Lord is saying, “The story isn’t over! I am releasing a ‘finishing’ anointing over you, and you will complete the year 2017 with nothing missing and nothing broken.”

In my mind’s eye, I can see a picture of a person running in a marathon. He has been running for a long time, and he is in the very back of the group. Others are bolting ahead of him, and the enemy is laughing and taunting the runner, telling him to give up. The whisper of the enemy seems to grow louder, as he taunts, “Why bother to keep running? You’ll never make it; you’re too far behind.” Out of sheer exhaustion, the runner momentarily considers quitting.

But suddenly a new strength and vigor arises on the inside of him, as he realizes that he had come too far and had fought too hard to turn back now. Then, the Spirit of God blows on the runner and empowers him with a fresh wind, and he takes off with renewed vision and strength! To the enemy’s dismay, he zooms past all of the other runners and crosses over the finish line.

I believe that this is a prophetic picture of what is happening right now. Just when you feel as though you can’t possibly take another step forward, God will step in and breathe his refreshing Spirit upon you.

Friends, we have come too far to turn back now! Keep running your race well, because there is going to be an amazing plot twist coming in the next chapter of your  life. Your story is far from over, and the best is yet to come! Truly you will taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8).

Proverbs 13:12 says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” This is going to be a season of highest hearts’ desires and longings fulfilled. If you have been sensing an intensity and a sudden feeling of hopelessness, be encouraged! It is often darkest just before the dawn. This is a time to get your hopes back up! Dare to dream big once again!

For many in the body of Christ, God is getting ready to do what only He can do. His very life and resurrection power is, even now, visiting what would once appear to be the most bleak and hopeless of circumstances.

Truly the Lord’s ways are so much more higher than ours. It says in His Word that unless a seed falls to the ground and dies, there can be no harvest (John 12:24). What has looked like loss in your life will be turned into a harvest of great gain. Watch, as you receive double blessing in those very areas, for the death and pruning that you’ve been experiencing is giving way to new and abundant life!

Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you (Zechariah 9:12).

Awake from Your Slumber: A Call to Prayer!

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. |2 Chronicles 7:14

This morning, while laying in bed, I kept hearing the phrase, “Awake, awake from your slumber!” The urgency kept growing. Still not fully awake, I got out of bed and began seeking the Lord.

This is what I sense He is saying to the body of Christ in this hour:

Who will discern the burden of the Lord? Who will tarry with Me in the secret place and ask Me what is on My heart? The god of this world has sought to blind the eyes of many.

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4).

So many are distracted right now, and it’s one of the biggest tools of the enemy; he wants to keep My bride distracted and focused on lesser things.

My bride, hear My call: “Awake, awake, O sleeper!”

“…Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you” (Ephesians 5:14).

Come away with Me; tarry in My presence! Will you stand in the gap for the nations that are in the balance? I am looking for My laid down lovers who will set aside their own agendas, press into My heart, pray, and partner with Me to push back the darkness.

There is a great urgency, My bride, to pray and intercede like never before. I’m calling you to pray over the schools and your churches! Declare Psalm 91, for indeed I hearken unto the voice of your words.

Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word (Psalm 103:20).

For the prayers of My people are powerful and effective (James 5;16). This is not the time to retreat or bend a knee in fear! I am calling you fourth in this hour, My bride, to put on your combat boots and engage in battle. Have I not said in my word that the violent shall take it by force?

“…the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force” (Matthew 11:12).

I have also said that in My name you shall cast out demons, heal the sick, and raise the dead. (Matthew 10:8). I am calling my bride to awake from her slumber – to come fourth as the fearless warrior that I have intended her to be. She will not shrink back, retreat, or back down. She will bring the battle to the enemy. She will gather the spoils and repair the war torn cities. She shall be called ‘repairer of the breech.’

Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
(Isaiah 58:12).

I am calling you to intercede and rescue those caught in sex-trafficking. My heart grieves over every one of these, and it is My desire that not one should perish, for I have come to seek that which was lost (Luke 19:10). My heart is broken over sex-trafficking! Will you bare this burden in prayer? Will you pray, “Lord, break my heart for what breaks yours?”

“Now is the time to arise and shake off complacency,”  says the Lord. “I am calling you to the front lines.”

33837028856_aac541fe29_o (1)

Future devastation, violence, and shootings can be prevented when My people pray! Awake, awake My people! “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (Ephesians 6:11).

Hear and respond to the call of your Bridegroom. I’m calling My fearless warriors to the front lines, for indeed, even as the darkness increases, My light and glory shall shine brighter (Isaiah 60:1-3), and I will draw all men unto Me (John 12:32).

Will you answer the call?

You Are Seated with Me in Heavenly Places

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. | Ephesians 2:6

Refuse to be a “bottom dweller,” My Beloved, for you are seated with Me in heavenly places. The enemy of your soul would seek to keep you looking down, focusing on your circumstances. Yet, like the eagle, I have created you to soar above. I have made you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath (Deuteronomy 28:13). For even now, My winds of change are blowing in your life. I am blowing away the dead things that will no longer serve you in this season, and I am bringing in the new. Change and reformation are here; freedom is here. Embrace the new, and embrace the wind of My Spirit. Truly it will catapult you into the new place that I have prepared for you.

Be willing to leave behind that which was once comfortable and familiar to you; be willing to follow the new path that I am even now opening up before you. Even as I have said, “My Word will be a lamp for your feet, and a light on your path” (Psalm 119:105).

Now is the time to get your hopes up! Resist the spirit of heaviness that would seek to  attach to you, for My joy is your portion, today and every day. I will cause your praise to torment the enemy.

I will sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. Both horse and driver he has hurled into the sea. The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation (Exodus 15:1-2).

I am expanding the path before you, My child. I am strengthening you and enlarging your territory. Rejoice! For you are seated with Me in heavenly places!
