Purify Our Hearts!

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10 ESV

THE HEART OF HAVING A RIGHT SPIRIT

In Psalm 51, King David gives us the best example of what it takes to have a right spirit before God. It is written soon after his interactions and consequences with Bathsheba. An in depth read of this passage reveals to us how David reacted to the confrontation from Nathan the prophet concerning Bathsheba. The veil of his actions was pulled away, leaving him fully exposed to the sins of his choices. Rather than to look outward by shifting the blame to others, David looks inward to the posture and intent of his heart. When the veil of his sin is lifted and revealed, David wants nothing more than to become pure and holy once again before Almighty God. He chooses the hard path of repentance, for he knows that this is the only path that will lead to life!

This is a time of a great CRESCENDO. Many are greatly divided in this hour because a great number of people are looking and pointing to the sins and shortcomings of others. It is the classic tactic of the enemy throughout the ages. It is Satan who distracts by saying, “Look at this sin over here!”, or, “See this great shortcoming over there!” His goal is to get us focused on the outward… to rank and to define the sins of others, however small or great it may be. Yet, it is Paul who tells us in the book of Romans that the entire playing field, in which sin is concerned, is level at the foot of the cross.

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans 3:23 NLT

I sense the encouragement from the Lord today for us all to bravely look inward as we hear His precious words from the heart of the Father!

REFINER’S FIRE

I hear the Lord saying to his people today, “I am bringing you through the purification process in this hour. It is the refiner’s fire! Do not pull back! Rather, lean in and surrender to the process. Truly, great freedom and healing are on the other side! In My mercy and goodness, I am exposing and pruning areas that have kept you in bondage. Come close to My heart in this hour! Listen to My heartbeat concerning you! I love you with a deep love, so deep as to see you fruitful and flourishing! This is why the pain of pruning is so difficult. I cut away that which needs to be cut so that which is able to live and flourish will produce fruit (John 15:2).”

THE POTTERS WHEEL

“Truly, the potters wheel can and will be uncomfortable, yet it is the best place to be. It is here that you will be fully surrendered and yielded to Me! It is here where you will see and experience My great measure of grace!”

“And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”” James 4:6 NLT

“This is a time to abide close and secure in Me! Stay in a place of intimacy! As you do, great healing will take place in your heart!

FREEDOM FROM PAST TRAUMA

“Many have been living in fear and cycles of trauma for so long that it has become a warped form of normality. This has never been part of My will or destiny for you, for I came that you may have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Remain fully yielded and surrendered to Me! Truly, the scales will fall from your eyes and you will know what it is to truly walk in freedom! Burdens and yokes will be broken as you come back to your first love and a place of simplicity with Me! I am healing your heart as My goodness is hovering over you! Resist any lie that I am against you! I am working in the painful process of pruning for your highest good! Take heart! You are right where you need to be and you will come to the other side! I will restore you to even better that you can imagine for you will walk in victory and freedom like you have not yet known or experienced! Stay the course! Do not grow weary in the process for I am working! Your darkness will turn to light and your mourning into joy! Behold, I am faithful and I will fulfill My word!“, says the Lord of Hosts.

“I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” Psalm 34:4 KJV
