At that time His voice shook the earth, but now He has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” | Hebrews 12:26-29

The Lord has been continually highlighting the vulnerability that His people are feeling during this season of transition. I believe we are living in a time where everything that can be shaken is being shaken. Yet once again, I hear the Father’s reassuring words: “Trust Me in everything; trust Me in the transition and in the shaking. Trust that the process I have you in will establish your roots so that you may go deeper with Me.

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7-8).

God is showing us in this season that He alone is our anchor. Though the winds blow and the storm rages around us, we have nothing to fear. As we continue to trust and abide in the Father, we are greatly protected.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart … (Psalm 91:1-4).

I hear the Father say, “Continue to look to Me as your All Sufficient One. Do not look to the left or to the right, My beloved. Keep your eyes on Me in the midst of transitioning relationships, world events, and the great stretching you are feeling. Know that you are being enlarged to carry more; I am creating new wine skins out of you. Continue to trust in Me, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). I will open up the way before you and keep you in My perfect peace as you fix your eyes upon me (Isaiah 26:3).

“Keep moving forward and walk boldly into all that I have called you to do. Do not be distracted by those who may or may not be following you, nor seek the praises and affirmation of man. Let pleasing Me become your number one priority. Promotion does not come from the north or south, but comes from Me (Psalm 75:6-7). I am well pleased with you, and I will supply you with everything that you need; you will lack nothing. No good thing will I withhold from those whose walk is blameless (Psalm 84:11). I will equip you to walk forward into all that I have prepared for you.

“Now is not the time to shrink back, beloved. Rather walk forward boldly, hand in hand with Me. I will continue to lead and guide you down this new path. I have said, obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22). My Word will be a lamp unto your feet, and a light unto your path (Psalm 119:105). Continue to run your race well and stay faithful to your calling, no matter how small or large the task that I ask of you may be. Do not grow weary in well doing, for you shall surely reap. Soon, everywhere you look, you will see an abundant harvest. Keep your eyes on the prize. Rejoice at how far we have come together, and know that I am—and will be—faithful to fulfill the promises I have spoken over you.”
