Deep Cries out to Deep

Deep calls to deep
in the roar of Your waterfalls;
all Your waves and breakers
have swept over me.
By day the Lord directs His love,
at night His song is with me … | Psalm 42:7-8

Deeper encounters with the Father’s heart are upon those who have been crying out for more of Him. The Father is honoring the hunger in those who have laid down their lives in His Name, the ones who are lovers of God. A greater intimacy with Him is being birthed in this season, as the pruning and pressing process has produced an even greater hunger in those who have truly given the Lord their all. These people have made the Lord and His presence their number one priority. To simply know Him and make His Name known has been their greatest desire; they have not desired a platform, nor are they moved by the praise and criticism of man. Like Mary chose to sit at Jesus’ feet, these ones have also chosen the better thing, and it will not be taken from them (Luke 10:42).

You move Jesus’ heart when you pour out your love upon Him. “You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes …” (Song of Songs 4:9). He is about to reveal Himself to you in new ways, igniting the flame of hunger inside of you into a blazing fire. This fire cannot be contained, and it can not be controlled! Blessed are the ones who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6).

Even as Jacob wrestled with the Lord in Genesis 32:26, saying “I will not let you go unless you bless me,” you have wrestled and have had that same tenacity in your pursuit for more of God. God knows your heart; you have truly given Him your all, laying down everything you are (and hope to be) for the sake of His Kingdom.

28295834543_864f79acc3You and other burning ones are about to come forth, and you will be transformed by His presence! When Moses came down from the mountain after being in the presence of the Lord, he had to cover his face, for the glory of God rested so heavily upon him (Exodus 34:30). You will also be one who will be a carrier of His glory. You’ll release a hunger inside of others to know more of the Lord, and this will create a ripple effect; a holy hunger will begin to grow in many others.

The Lord is showing us that even amidst the breakthrough and promotion of this season, He alone is the only one who will satisfy, like nothing else in this world has to offer. Those who are sold out to Him have cried,  “If Your presence does not go with us, do not send us” (Exodus 33:15). God is pleased with the posture of your heart, and His goodness and favor is ready to be poured out upon you in new and extravagant ways! You will experience and taste of His goodness, and you will truly be satisfied. Continue to make Him your number one desire. You are about to be overwhelmed by His goodness and extravagant love! O taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8).
