“I will give you hidden treasures,
riches stored in secret places,
so that you may know that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name.” | Isaiah 45:3
The Lord is saying, “Ask of Me, and I will surely give you the nations as your inheritance (Psalm 2:8). ‘I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build’ (Joshua 24:13). This will be a year of supernatural increase and abundant harvest, and there will be transfers of wealth and cancellations of debt in Jesus’ name! Truly, this is a season of jubilee, ‘and the wealth of the wicked is being stored up for the righteous'” (Proverbs 13:22).
This is a time to expand our vision and believe that God will do the miraculous. He is getting ready to release the provisions of heaven to fund your God-given visions. Several years ago, God ever so clearly gave me a picture of a dam. The water that had once been held back was beginning to overflow from it, creating a waterfall. He began to speak to my heart, saying, “The provision of finances that I am going to release will be overflowing, just like the picture of the waterfall. What was once restricted will soon be so bountiful and vast that you will have a grace to give some away. As it was written in Malachi, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it'” (Malachi 3:10).
Those who have been faithful to steward and oversee, no matter how little or how much the Lord has entrusted them with, are about to reap a great harvest. These highly favored ones will be entrusted with even more: more favor, resources, and even influence.
I hear the Lord saying, “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes, for you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities” (Isaiah 54:2-3).
In this season, God is going to call many to step out with extravagant faith into the deep waters. In Genesis, the Lord told Abraham, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you” (Genesis 12:1). Similar to how He called Abraham to leave the familiar and trust in His guidance, the Lord calling us to trust in Him during this time of transition. We can be assured that our Father is going to guide us to the place where He desires us to be, and He will be faithful as we follow His leading.
There is currently a great transition taking place in our government, the church, and even in our own, personal lives. Yet, we are called not to fear the shaking that we feel. We must look through eyes of faith and be willing to move out and follow the Lord’s instructions. God is calling us out of our comfort zones to follow where He’s leading, walking with Him into the unfamiliar.
I remember the story of Jesus calling some of His first disciples. Simon was a fisherman. He and his brother had been up all night fishing, and had caught nothing. Yet Jesus urged them to cast their nets again, and launch out into the deep. Simon replied, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets” (Scripture reference: Luke 5:1-5). He then cast his nets again, and he caught such a large amount of fish that he could hardly contain it.
The Lord honored Simon’s faith and obedience. We, too, need to follow God’s leading and instructions at His command; we need to launch out into the deep waters. He knows where the harvest is, and I believe that the Lord will give His people many riches and treasures that are stored in secret places and we continue to obey Him.
That which had previously been locked up is about to be opened up to you! As God has promised before, the ones who have been faithful with little are about to be entrusted with more.
“Master,” [the servant] said, “you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.” His master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” (Matthew 25:22-23)
The season of pruning you have experienced has prepared you for what He is about to release. You will be one who will help finance the Kingdom, feed the hungry, and bind up the broken hearted. Continue to press in and follow the leading of the Lord! I believe that our good Father is going to release His strategies and Kingdom blueprints; He will direct the steps that He is calling us to take.
Don’t be afraid to launch out into the deep, for where the Lord leads us is the safest place to be. Great and mighty things are coming quickly. Take heart; this is a year of great celebration and jubilee!
When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dreamed.
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
The Lord has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.
Restore our fortunes, Lord,
like streams in the Negev.
Those who sow with tears
will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with them.
-Psalm 126-
