Pressing Forward and Not Turning Back

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. | Philippians 3:13-14

The Lord is healing hearts and bringing a new found freedom in this hour. I truly believe that the Lord is encouraging us to let go of our past disappointments and release the things that have been keeping us bound. Our good, good Father is doing a new thing in our hearts and lives (Isaiah 43:19). Let go, and allow Him to complete the work that He desires to finish in you.

Often, when we continually replay past disappointments in the back of our mind, we will stay stuck and experience hope differed. I hear the Lord saying, “Move forward! Forgive and release those who have hurt you, and continue to make Me your number one priority. Allow My healing balm to heal and cleanse those areas that have been wounded. Move forward in love, leaving all results in My hands.

Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe (Proverbs 29:25).

Do not be concerned about your reputation, nor worry what others think of you. The Lord is setting His people free from the fear of man and the desire to please others. Let our attitudes be as that of Christ Jesus:

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness (Philippians 2:5-7).

God is rewarding those who have continued to be faithful to their calling, regardless of what it has cost them, as it is written: “‘Truly I tell you,’ Jesus said to them, ‘no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God'” (Luke 18:29). Continue to passionately pursue the Lord, making Him your heart’s highest desire. Press onward, and leave the past behind. Run, and do not turn back! He is your exceedingly great reward.
