“He has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping. For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver.” | Psalm 66:9-10
For many, it feels as though the furnace has been turned up seven times hotter. Even so, the fire is refining you and burning off the dross! Through it all, you are being prepared for the “next level!” Beloved, be encouraged, and know that you will come forth stronger than ever; not one hair on your head will be burned (Daniel 3:27; Luke 21:18).
Remember how Joseph had to endure a severe and prolonged time of testing? Yet through it all, the Lord was with him; Joseph’s character was being refined so that he could steward well all that the Lord had in store for him.
“The Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden” (Genesis 39:21).
Beloved, take heart! Truly the Lord is with you! He sees you and knows all that you have endured. He will be faithful and His purpose will be fulfilled through it all. Just like Joseph, you will be able to testify, “[The enemy] intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done” (Genesis 50:20)!
Yes, it’s intense right now, but those many trials will come to an end. The fire is burning off the dross and you are being prepared for a promotion!
Do not get weary in doing well, because your season of reaping is much closer than you think! God has great and mighty things in store!
“For his anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5).
Know that the Lord’s hand is upon you and His Word is being perfected in your life. You are coming forth, refined like the gold!
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows” (Psalms 23:5).
