“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 NIV

Recently, there have been many situations that have come to surface in our lives that have been pressing for our immediate attention. It is as though these situations have some kind of inner voice that seems to be screaming loudly at us, calling us into quick and anxious decisions. We felt a battle for our peace would soon arise no matter what decision we would come to. It was time for us to enter into prayer and seek the higher wisdom of the Lord. It took a few minutes of concentration to focus on the Lord and to quiet our minds, but as we took that first step of obedience, we heard the Lord’s sweet voice of peace and assurance. Be encouraged, we sense this is a word for others as well.

We heard the Lord saying, “Receive My peace that passes your natural understanding. Refuse to fear and don’t worry about anything! Rather, let My peace guard your heart and mind. The enemy of your soul would seek to bring anxiety and have you worry about many things. However, this is not your portion. I am calling you deeper into my presence. It is here that you will experience a greater measure of my peace. Throw off every weight that would seek to entangle you! Oh, taste and see that I am good! Draw closer to me and drink deeply of My presence. Feast on My goodness!”

“I prayed to the LORD, and He answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to Him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; He saved me from all my troubles.” Psalm 34:4-6 NLT

“Be assured that your future is in My hand! I am trustworthy. I know the plans that I have for you, My child, and they are only for your good (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep your eyes on Me and do not entertain thoughts of doubt, worry, or fear. Meditate on my goodness and my faithfulness! Faithful I have been and faithful I will continue to be!”

“Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.” Psalm 37:3 NKJV

“Receive My grace for today! Rest in Me and know that all is well. As you continue to abide in Me and draw closer to Me, you will hear My still small voice with greater clarity. You can be assured that I will guide you and direct you along the right path for your life. If you ask Me for bread, I will never give you a stone (Matthew 7:9). I am your good and faithful Father. Keep your eyes on me and nestle in close to Me. I will never leave you or forsake you! Receive My peace that passes all understanding!”

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
