TIMES AND SEASONS AND THE COMING STORM

Each night as I quietly gaze at the setting sun, I sit with awe and wonder at the time and season we find ourselves in. Indeed, unprecedented times of change and transition are upon us! Spiritual light and darkness collide. Evil poses as being good. Firm foundations are being tested. The earth shakes at the deep places.

As this year progresses to its summer’s end, a subtle feeling of unrest can be felt and seen on the horizon. Global hot spots, financial market uncertainty, gross evil unmasked….suddenly having a cave to hide in doesn’t sound too bad! Yes! even Elijah the prophet had his moments of swirling and questioning.

“There Elijah entered a cave and spent the night. And the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” “I have been very zealous for the LORD, the God of Hosts,” he replied, “but the Israelites have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I am the only one left, and they are seeking my life as well.” Then the LORD said, “Go out and stand on the mountain before the LORD. Behold, the LORD is about to pass by. And a great and mighty wind tore into the mountains and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake there was a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a still, small voice.” 1 Kings 19:9-12 BSB

YOU ARE SURROUNDED BY ME!

I hear the Lord saying, “You are surrounded by Me! Pay no attention to the swirling warfare and fogginess that the enemy is attempting to divert you with! He is trying to make you feel as though you are surrounded on every side. In reality, you are fully surrounded by Me! Have no fear of the ruin or sudden disaster that overtakes the wicked. I, the Lord, will continue to be your confidence! I will continue to be at your side and I will keep your foot from being snared (Proverbs 3:25-26 NIV).”

“The enemy has attempted to bring such fear and confusion to my people. He has tried to get you to run and hide in a cave just as it was when Jezebel was fiercely pursuing after Elijah. Even as I was with him, I am with you now and always! I am sending my angelic forces to strengthen you to arise with confidence and come forth in boldness! Stand strong and fear not! If Jezebel and the spirit of narcissism is chasing you down, it is because that spirit has been exposed and knows that its time is short!”

“Surely, you will see My mighty hand of deliverance working on your behalf! My arm is not too short to save and I have not been deaf to your cries! Do not be moved by what you see in the natural. Rather, look through your eyes of faith! I am not a man that I should lie! Every promise I have spoken to you is swiftly coming to pass (Isaiah 46:11b).”

“I am upholding you in this season! Surely, the ruin that the wicked intended for you will turn back onto themselves! You have nothing to fear! I am holding your life together and you are surrounded by Me!

“For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:16-17 BSB
