I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people. | Ephesians 1:18
I sense that the Lord is restoring hope in this season, especially in the area of troubled relationships. Many have experienced an extended season of hope deferred and have been tempted to give up. The Lord is blowing on the embers of your heart and saying, “Let hope arise!” Because of ongoing hurts and difficult circumstances, the lenses by which we have viewed people, life, and events, have become tainted. I believe the Lord, in His kindness, is giving us new lenses to see clearly in this season.
Your eyes are blessed to see! Where the enemy has attempted to bring confusion, disunity, and lack of clarity, even in families and relationships, the Lord is anointing your eyes to see with precision, spiritual insight, and wisdom. He is allowing you to see beyond the way things would appear in the natural realm.
As we receive this gift and divine upgrade to our spiritual eyesight, we will begin to view people with new love, compassion, mercy, and grace. We will then realize who our real enemy is: Satan, not people! “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12).
Where the enemy has sought to bring division, offence, and brokenness to our relationships, the Lord is bringing healing, restoration, and purification. As we look with new lenses, we will experience a greater love and compassion than we’ve previously known.
I believe the Lord is uncovering generational blessings in our blood line that the enemy has attempted to keep buried and hidden. God is turning the hearts of His children back to their fathers and mothers, just as it is written in Malachi 4:6.
The Lord’s desire is to encourage us and to tell us, “Do not be afraid to hope once again and to expect My very best!” For He says, “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten — the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm — my great army that I sent among you” (Joel 2:25).
