Fear Not, for I Am Your Protector

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock. | Psalm 27:1-5

“Do not fear, My Beloved! I am watching over your life with My loving eye, and I am keeping you from harm. Though a thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, it will not come near you (Psalm 91:7).

“The spirit of fear is raging, and it is trying to seek a place to enter into your heart. Deny it access! For with fear comes torment, but My perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). Remember that I have not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

“I am a good Father, and I am shielding and protecting you from the fiery darts of the enemy. You are highly favored, My child. Rest in My perfect love, and trust in My ability to keep you safe from all harm. Abide in the shadow of My wings (Psalm 91:4), and find your peace in Me.

“Again I say, ‘Fear not!’ Even amidst the shaking and turmoil that you are witnessing in the world around you, be confident in My ability and in My faithfulness to protect you. I am the good Shepherd, and I will lead you beside the still waters (Psalm 23:2). You are safe with Me, and no weapon that is formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).”

When [the king] came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?”

Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight” (Daniel 6:22)

“I can take care of all that would seek to oppose you and do you harm, just as I shut the mouths of the lions while Daniel was in the den. I am your strong tower—your mighty Defender—and I am great in battle. I will fight for you; you need only to be still (Exodus 14:14).”

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

“As I have overcome, so shall you. Peace is your portion, My child. I am the God who is even aware of the very number of hairs on your head. Nothing ever escapes My notice, for I am intimately acquainted with all of your ways (Psalm 139:3). I am lovingly and faithfully watching over My word to perform it in your life. Trust Me, and fear not,” says the Lord!

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging . . . The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress (Psalm 46:1-3, 7).
