Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. | Ephesians 3:20-23
Recently, while inquiring to the Lord about the season that I am in (and that which I believe many others in the body of Christ are experiencing, as well), I heard Him say, “This is the calm before the storm.” As I continued to listen, He comforted my heart, saying, “However, do not worry. This is going to be a good storm: a storm of My blessings and purposes that are suddenly going to be fulfilled in your life! Do not be discouraged if things seem unusually quiet or void of any movement, for this is just the calm before the storm.”
Even as “the calm” takes place in the natural realm—when one moment the sea is still, and then the next moment it seems as if suddenly a storm seemingly comes out of nowhere—this same occurrence is happening in the spirit realm. Suddenly things will change, and a storm of blessings will seemingly come out of nowhere!
For many, things will begin to spring forth so quickly that it will leave them asking, “How did I even get to this place, and how did it happen?” Yet, they will know it was the Lord’s goodness and favor alone, not by human effort or striving.
It was not by their sword that they won the land,
nor did their arm bring them victory;
it was your right hand, your arm,
and the light of your face, for you loved them (Psalm 44:3).
People of God, be encouraged and know that there is much movement happening behind the scenes right now, despite what you may see or feel in the natural realm. Things are going to suddenly burst forth and manifest in your life, and it will leave you in shock and awe of the Father’s great love for you. Indeed, you will see and know the goodness of God in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13). He is making a way where there seems to be no way; He is causing streams to flow through what was once a barren, desert place (Isaiah 41:18).
God is getting ready to do what only He can do for you! You will be astonished by His goodness and faithfulness in your life. Your breakthrough draws near; it is coming quickly. It has been a long and hard season for many, but the Lord is equipping you, as He has has been building perseverance and character in you, even now. You will now be able to handle and steward well the blessing that He is about to release on you.
Upon hearing the Lord speak the words “calm before the storm,” our kitchen microwave suddenly beeped from the other room. The Lord drew my attention to the numbers on our microwave clock, as the time read 12:20.
I researched the biblical meaning of the number 12, and I found that it is symbolic for multiple things, including:
- Completion or perfection
- Governmental authority
- Being whole, perfect, and/or harmonious.
WOW! I truly believe that God is getting ready to perfect all that has been concerning you (Psalm 138:8). I also sense that many things that have been coming against God’s people and tormenting them are about ready to come under the Lord’s divine order and government; indeed, the things of the Lord will be made whole and complete.
As for the number 20, the Lord led me to verse 20 in the third chapter of Ephesians:
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
I love it when God confirms His Word!
To those who have felt wary and have experienced a long season of hope deferred, take heart! A heavenly storm of blessing is about to overtake and refresh you; yes, the Lord is sending His refreshing rains! Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
