“I’m Working It Out!”

Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God. | Psalm 42:11

Many have been feeling a real discouragement and spirit of heaviness try to come upon them because of long-standing issues in their lives that have seemingly refused to budge. However, I hear the Lord saying today, “My child, refuse to give in to heaviness and despair, rather, encourage your soul in the Lord, just as David did (1 Samuel 30:6). Truly I say to you, I am working it out. That relationship, that job issue, that debt, that wayward child…though these things look impossible to redeem in the natural, I am the God of the supernatural!”

I am reminded of the powerful song “Way Maker,” as one version sings, “Even when I don’t see it, You’re working. Even when I don’t feel it, You’re working. You never stop, You never stop working; You never stop, You never stop working.” I feel the Lord desires us to declare this powerful truth over whatever circumstance or obstacle seems to be standing in our way. Beloved, do not underestimate the power of your praise or your decree! Praise is your mighty weapon in this hour.

Right now, things may seem like a tangled up mess, but that doesn’t mean God isn’t working on the scene. Soon you will see the long awaited answers to what you have been praying for. Like the Word of God says, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Exodus 14:14).

Be encouraged today, for what is impossible with man is possible with God (Luke 18:27). Truly, He is working everything out for your good!

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).

  1. That song has been playing over and over in my head for the last two weeks now! Praise God! And I know He is the Waymaker, Miracle Worker, Light in the Darkness!
