Prayer Declarations for the Nations and the Body of Christ

“Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession.

Psalm 2:8, NLT

“I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint.”

Habakkuk 2:1

Recently while I was out driving, the spirit of intercession fell heavily upon me. I began to weep and pray in my prayer language for Afghanistan, as well as our nation. The Lord then prompted me to write down the following prayers and petitions:

A Release of God’s Goodness Over the Nations

“Lord, we release your goodness over the very nations right now. It says in your Word that even though darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, the glory of the Lord rises upon you and appears over you (Isaiah 60:2).”

Oil in Our Lamps

“The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’”

Matthew 25:8

“Lord, may we be as the wise virgins who had oil in their lamps. Awaken us from our slumber and comfort, and let us burn with intercession for the persecuted church. Let us stand in the gap on behalf of our brothers and sisters who are being persecuted in Afghanistan and around the world.”

Protection and Covering

“God sends angels with special orders to protect you wherever you go, defending you from all harm. If you walk into a trap, they’ll be there for you and keep you from stumbling. You’ll even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness, trampling every one of them beneath your feet! For here is what the Lord has spoken to me: ‘Because you loved me, delighted in me, and have been loyal to my name, I will greatly protect you. I will answer your cry for help every time you pray, and you will feel my presence in your time of trouble. I will deliver you and bring you honor.'”

Psalm 91:11-15, TPT

“Lord, thank you that as we abide in you, we walk in your supernatural protection.”

Freedom From Fear

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

1 John 4:18

“Lord, we thank you that you have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We renounce all fear, and we keep our eyes on you. You are our good Father, and as we abide under the shadow of your wings, we are safe and highly protected.”

“Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked”

Proverbs 3:25

Revival

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

2 Chronicles 7:4

“Lord, let your revival fall on the nations; let it spread like wild fire. I pray that the prayers of the saints may fan into flames as we turn our faces towards you. Pour out your spirit on all flesh. Lord, send revival!”
