DRAWING NEAR
As I was seeking the Lord and reading His word today, I drew strength and encouragement from the book of Romans, especially from several verses toward the end of chapter 8. In the midst of the nations raging and in the midst of conflict and uncertainty, we can know for sure that nothing can separate us from His love! He is our anchor! He is our solid foundation! It is He and He alone who will be with you in every season of the soul!
YOU ARE SAFE WITH ME
I hear the Lord saying today, “Fret not and fear not, for you are safe with Me! Though a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, it shall not come near you (Psalm 91:7). I am your lifeline! I am your firm foundation! Look not to the left or to the right, but rather keep your eyes on Me now more than ever! Draw near! Listen to My heart! Truly, your greatest asset in this hour is to walk close to Me and listen to every word I say.”
WATCH AND PRAY
“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.” 1st Peter 5:8 NLT
“Be very vigilant and alert in this hour! The battle between good and evil, darkness and light, has greatly intensified, so I now call you to walk in the spirit like never before. Guard your heart and your tougue, for the evil one will tempt you and try to distract you from what I am calling you to do in this hour. He wants to trap you with your own words so he can accuse you before Me in My courts. Do not fall prey to his wild schemes! Rather, watch and pray! Pray for those in leadership! Pray for your watchmen! Pray for your protectors whom I have anointed to protect you, for this is part of your spiritual and civil duties.”
“Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God. Consequently, whoever resists authority is opposing what God has set in place, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Do you want to be unafraid of the one in authority? Then do what is right, and you will have his approval. For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not carry the sword in vain. He is God’s servant, an agent of retribution to the wrongdoer. Therefore it is necessary to submit to authority, not only to avoid punishment, but also as a matter of conscience.” Romans 13: 1-5 BSB
BE HUMBLE AND GUARD YOUR HEART
“Even as the darkness is increasing, so shall My light also increase greatly! Even now, My light is breaking forth as the dawn! Incline your ear to Me and ask for wisdom, for the battle between good and evil, darkness and light, will continue to intensify. The exposure and purification will increase. Even so, stay humble and guard your heart against the spirit of offense, for this is one of the enemy’s great tools that he uses to snare you! Truly, you must keep your heart pure before Me.”
